As a production company working closely with DDB we lauched VW Big up the up! Facebook Campaign which had live video streaming users accross britain.

Live Video Streaming

The campaign, devised by DDB, will see those who do pay the car a model, receive a personalised compliment back from the brand across 18 nationwide digital outdoor poster sites, through a unique message running alongside their photo.

The campaign will run until 16 March, where people will be able to watch the Facebook page live streams, as the company returns complements on outdoor sites owned by Ocean Outdoor and JCDecaux.

CarDigger Search Engine

We are very excited to launch CarDigger, one of our most challenging projects to date. With large amounts of data to work with, speed was the focus in the backend and we have heavily optimised many aspects from database to the front-end. The goal was to create a simple search box which could give the users the power of google but targeted specifically at car deals.

CarDigger allows for you to search the UK online car market with great detail, and set alerts to let you know when new deals are found on the market.

PH7 Marketing and Boxlight Media partnership.

We have recently partnered up with PH7 Marketing to build a site around new visual search technology that has evolved into the largest database of cars in the UK. This joint venture will be launched in the next few weeks and will be in direct competition to the leading car retailers online.

Design & Search Engine Filters

When designing CarDigger we wanted to stick to a simplistic slick search engine much like Google. It is easy to add loads of shiny graphics but we needed to focus on the search functionality. Once we had our colour scheme and wireframes it was fun to get some graphics created.

It really all came together with nice gun metal boyish feel which can be found throughout the site. All designs where done in-house and the results are great.

Mflow Development

Mflow was a great project with all the crazy fun you would expect from a social iTunes killer that’s about to rock the world. We had so much fun building all social integration, public profiles and partner tools for the application. Including their flash widgets which are awesome.

Mflow with Twitter + Facebook

Working on a platform that will be the biggest thing since Twitter is exciting, and we were happy to bring this excitement to social networks.

We were in charge of their integration between the application and social networks such as Twitter and Facebook to bring peoples "flows" to their friends. Once these were in the users profile, others could stream tracks, download the app or view user profiles.

Symfony2 Updates

This site was built on the upcoming release of Symfony2. We have included updates from gitHub timelines, all twitter updates, official feeds and repo updates. Boxlight Media is also accepting articles from anyone who wishes to write Symfony related material. Since this year we have been heavily involved in the symfony community and have been participating in events overseas and hosting London Symfony events.

Symfony has helped us develop many web projects and in the near future we will be giving back to the community by contributing plugins and tutorials. Signup to our blog to keep updated.

Flexibility

This project was developed with flexibility in mind. From the way we built the layout to the way we remotely search the database it will require little effort to setup a new Event. Our client will require no further development and just minimal design change to re-skin this layout.

AJAX & Creating your wine list

The filters auto update the total count of wines before a search is made which gives the user instant feedback on their selection.

Created using quite a lot of AJAX and jQuery the user can make, save as pdf or print their wine list with a click of a button. The user experience is smooth and immediately updates their list which is always visible. Removing wines from their list, finding out more details on the producer or exhibitor is all done by the hidden details option.

Detailed Reporting

Most of our clients require reporting on clicks and searches to be able to understand their users and sell advertisements spots. We have an entire backend system which takes care of this and can be accessed by the client who can then download all details of every users activity.

China Tomorrow Innovation & Technology Initiative

Boxlight Media - Design department was called in to design the China Tomorrow logo for CBBC in London. After understanding the new concept and what CBBC was trying to relay to their business partners we came up with a few example art work. Understanding the client and their business has always been the primary focus before designing anything for our clients.

Culture - International Business

China Tomorrow logo was a wonderful opportunity for us to really dig in and understand international businesses needs and ways of thinking. Logo design is extremely important as it sets the theme and branding. We ensured that the logo would look amazing on both print and digital as CBBC is primarly a subscription newsletter to members only.

Zen Cart integration

Zen Cart truly is the art of e-commerce; free, user-friendly, open source shopping cart software. The ecommerce web site design program is being developed by a group of like-minded shop owners, programmers, designers, and consultants that think ecommerce web design could be and should be done differently.

Online Sports Store & Design

For this project is was very important to understand GAA and the Irish culture. It was important that the customers journey through the store was professional and well presented. We had very tight deadlines to meet due to their marketing campaign dates. We built and designed Gaelic Telecom online store in a week and half. The store was successfully launched in time and well received.

We had to build some custom features within the system to allow registration, coupon vouchers and 3 consumer groups shopping experience.

This is Art London & Paris

Delving into the depths of imaginations is at the heart of all motivations for great artists to inspire. To transform ideas into creations which can spark unique innovations in all minds which view it is a power few artists are able to achieve.

The site features work from Paul Ygartua and Tala Maillot both reknown artists with some amazing pieces of work. The works of art are not only for sale but can also be rented and displayed in London Offices.

The Artists intro

Those lucky enough to have seen Paul paint can truely understand the brilliance which makes up each painting. Never going over the same stroke twice, British born Canada based artist Paul Ygartua continues to capture the immagination of collectors worldwide. A life of travel and art has produced some of the most versatile abstracts of our time.

After having lived in Australia and England, Tala recently decided to make Paris her new home and dedicate herself entirely to painting. Self taught, she is currently exploring several different styles. She is a young and promising artist whom we are pleased to have recently discovered.

Spectrum Interactive Portal UI

The User Interface for this project was very important. We first started with the pure basic layout and wireframing. One of the most important for this portal to work is the wireframing. Wireframe is the basic structure of the website. It does not have any functionality or design it’s the basic concept of the layout and works as a guideline for the designer.

Design for Aiport kiosks & Hotels

Designing a portal that will be seen by all kinds of users requires research and user testing. We had to delivery a clean design that could accomodate key advertising real-estate but still be flexible enough to add branding. Our designs appeared accross airports and hotels throughout the UK. It was exciting to be part of this and we enjoyed the chanllenge.
